Begin with how the kitchen is actually used

A successful kitchen is more than a row of cabinets. Cooking, cleaning, storage, circulation and social space all compete for the same footprint. We assess the existing arrangement and discuss which daily frustrations the new layout should solve.

Ergonomics, useful worktop space and accessible storage guide early planning. Appliance positions and service connections are then coordinated with the room and selected kitchen system.

Coordinate the room behind the units

The project may begin with careful removal of the existing kitchen, followed by changes to plumbing and electrics, wall repairs and floor preparation. Cabinet installation, worktops, splashbacks, tiling, lighting and decoration are sequenced around one another.

We do not assume a particular kitchen or appliance brand. Product details supplied by the client or manufacturer are checked against the agreed installation scope.

Kitchen work may include

  • Removal of the existing kitchen
  • Wall and floor preparation
  • Plumbing and electrical coordination
  • Cabinet and worktop installation
  • Tiling, splashbacks and flooring
  • Lighting, decorating and final checks

Preparation

Measure twice, coordinate every connection

Accurate dimensions, appliance specifications, door clearances and service points are resolved before installation. We also consider delivery access, storage of components and which parts of the home will remain in use during the work.

On site

A controlled installation sequence

First-fix services and preparation are completed before units conceal them. Cabinets are set out carefully, worktop requirements are coordinated and final connections follow at the correct stage.

At handover, doors, drawers, fittings and agreed installations are checked, and remaining details are reviewed with the client.

    Planning and Design

Drawings, structural input, planning permission and Building Regulations requirements are identified where relevant before construction begins.

  4. 04

    Construction

Work is organised in a logical sequence with clear communication, appropriate property protection and tidy working practices.

  5. 05

    Completion and Handover

The finished work is reviewed with you, remaining details are identified and the agreed area is left ready for handover.

Useful answers

Kitchens questions

Yes, subject to reviewing the supplier drawings, components, delivery plan and the condition of the room.

Often it can, but plumbing, electrics, ventilation, structure and available space may influence the practical options.

These services can be included where agreed and should be planned using the appliance and kitchen specifications.

Removal and disposal can be included in the quotation. Any items the client wants to keep should be identified beforehand.

Some worktops require templating after units are installed. The sequence and temporary arrangements depend on the selected product and supplier.

That depends on the flooring system, manufacturer guidance and installation strategy. The build-up should be agreed before work starts.
